Connecting Water Industry Businesses Between Vietnam and Israel
On the afternoon of April 23, 2025, the leaders of the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA) had a meeting and worked with representatives of the Israel Economic and Trade Office in Vietnam. At the meeting, the Israeli side expressed their desire to learn about the market and connect with Vietnamese water supply and drainage enterprises.

Attending the meeting, on VWSA’s side were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Diep, Chairman of VWSA; Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of VWSA and leaders of VWSA’s International Cooperation Department. On the Israeli side, there were Mr. Chen Peretz, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam and Ms. Nghiem Minh Trang, Commercial Advisor.
At the meeting, VWSA Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Diep presented the current status of water resource use in Vietnam and introduced the Vietnam Water Week 2025 event hosted by VWSA in August this year in Hanoi.
In fact, Vietnam is a country facing many challenges in the water sector. About 2/3 of the total water flowing into Vietnam comes from upstream countries. Therefore, the rational use of water resources, especially Israel's experience in saving water, is extremely valuable knowledge and information for Vietnam's economic sectors.
Introducing Vietnam Water Week 2025, the Chairman of VWSA emphasized that this is a highly professional event and a key event in the Water Supply and Sewerage industry held in Vietnam. At the same time, he encouraged and hoped that international enterprises would have advanced and modern products, equipment and technologies in the Water industry to be introduced and displayed at VWW 2025.

On the Israeli side, Mr. Chen Peretz, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam, stated that the key role of the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam is to seek opportunities to connect Vietnamese businesses with Israeli businesses, thereby creating opportunities for cooperation between the two countries. Mr. Chen Peretz said that the Israeli side wishes to learn more about the Vietnamese market and find suitable partners. From there, there will be opportunities to connect and seek cooperation opportunities for businesses of the two countries.
"For Israel, the Water industry is an extremely important field. In fact, Israel is a country that faces many challenges in the Water industry. In this field, we have been conducting research for many years and only now can we confidently share our Water industry technologies with international friends. Through many years of research and experience, we want to share our Water industry technologies with international friends. Therefore, we want to share these things through events and seminars," Mr. Chen Peretz expressed.
In addition, the Israeli delegation also expressed their wish that during the Vietnam Water Week 2025 event, VWSA will organize side events suitable for the purpose of connecting Israeli and Vietnamese water industry businesses.

Understanding the wishes of the Israeli delegation, VWSA Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Diep shared: "In fact, Vietnamese enterprises have connected and interacted with Israeli enterprises. Therefore, at Vietnam Water Week this year, VWSA is ready to help Israel promote its water industry equipment and products". VWSA also expressed its hope that within the framework of Vietnam Water Week 2025, the Israeli side will have a discussion on the water industry in the thematic seminars that will take place within the framework of the event.
VWSA welcomes and agrees with Israel’s desire to organize side events during Vietnam Water Week because this is a major event that brings together hundreds of water industry businesses from all over Vietnam. And this is the most favorable opportunity to connect Vietnamese businesses with Israel.
Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Diep expressed his joy at seeing Israel’s interest in water sector enterprises in Vietnam, and highly appreciated Israel’s water sector technologies and equipment. VWSA Chairman emphasized that he will support and help Israeli enterprises connect and learn about Vietnamese enterprises, expanding cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
